Data layout for random forest classification. Layout of the data matrix for gene g given as input to random forest. The first column indicates the discrete expression value of the gene. The other k columns correspond to the k predictors -TFs or microRNAs, one classifier for TFs and another for microRNAs- predicted to target gene g . The values for each of the columns are also the discrete expression values (as a number between 1 and 5) of the predictors in all microarrays.
