Validation by immunocytochmistry. Light micrographs, taken by a TCS SP5 confocal microscope equipped with a 63 × oil immersion lense, showed that (A) primary culture of SCs were immunostained by antibodies against ATG5 (green color), NEFM (red color), or TUBB3 (green color), respectively; (B) the cell nuclei were stained by Hoechst 33342 (blue color); (C) the merge of (A) and (B); and (D) the views at a much higher magnification of one cell each per antigen.
