A. fumigatus early development stages selected for proteomic analysis. For the 0 h time point dormant conidia were stained with Calcofluor and Hoechsts. For the 4, 6 and 9 h time points, 3 x 106 spores were inoculated into 10 mL of GMM and incubated at 37°C. The samples were fixed and stained with Calcofluor and Hoechsts. Upper panel shows DIC image lower panel shows stained florescent image. All pictures were taken at 100X magnification. Scale bar = 3 μm.
