The mean perturbation distance between C i and C i (perturb) is plotted against the lowest lRMSD from the native structure obtained by PLOW on each of the 15 protein systems. The strong linear correlation (the identity line is drawn in red) suggests that the efficacy of the perturbation function is directly related to the efficacy of the search in PLOW.
