Table 4 Summary of responses

From: The impact of surfactant protein-A on ozone-induced changes in the mouse bronchoalveolar lavage proteome

Total O3↑ O3↓ WT* KO* KO > WT WT > KO
Overall 64 - - 25 37 45 (70%) 19 (30%)
DEF (excluding SP-A) 29 13 16 15 18 21 (72%) 8 (28%)
RED 22 7 15 11 13 18 (82%) 4 (18%)
PMM 18# 14 5 8 10 10 (56%) 8 (44%)
  1. An overview of the changes in expression in response to ozone is given. The number of proteins in the entire data set and in each of the three functional groups is given. The number of responses to ozone that involved an increase in levels of expression (O3↑) or a decrease (O3↓) is indicated. Note (#) that after ozone exposure one protein in the PMM group is decreased in WT mice and increased in KO. The number of significant changes in comparisons of WTFA vs. WTO3 (WT*) or KOFA vs. KOO3 (KO*) is indicated. For each group, the number of ozone responses where the magnitude is greater in KO mice is given (KO > WT), as are those where WT is greater (WT > KO).
