The sample and data flow of the study. Blood samples are drawn, physical examinations are performed, and health questionnaires are filled out at the health-care center. Blood samples are sent to the Clinical Chemistry center for analysis. Blood samples are also aliquoted and analyzed for protein biomarkers by SRM LC-MS/MS at the research center. The patient identifying data is stored in the same database as the rest of the data but is solely accessible to personnel at the health-care clinic
