Regional differences in dopamine agonist-induced proteome changes. Gerbils (n = 6 per group) received bilateral local injections of SKF38393, SKF83959, or vehicle into the auditory cortex and were decapitated 24 h later. Soluble and synaptic junctional protein-enriched fractions prepared from the auditory cortex (blue), frontal cortex (red), hippocampus (black), and striatum (green) were analysed using 2D gel electrophoresis in conjunction with mass spectrometry. Selection of differentially regulated spots in comparison with corresponding vehicle-treated controls (P < 0.05, Mann-Whitney’s U-test) was performed using image analysis PDQuest software. A.
