Distribution of the number of unique peptides quantified per protein for the combined unstimulated and stimulated plasma proteomic datasets. To quantify total number of proteins first, all the identifications were examined and assessed the number of peptides per protein. Over 84% of the total (189) quantifiable proteins were quantified based on two or more peptides. For downstream analysis, we further filtered the data to require the proteins to be quantified in at least 3 out of 8 LCMS runs. Among the resulting 160 proteins, 152 (95%) were quantified based on at least 2 unique peptides. Unique proteins reported in the manuscript were unique protein groups
